Specializing in Employment Law Disputes

Deborah Crandall Saxe, MCIArb, is a trained, experienced, and talented arbitrator and mediator specializing in labor and employment law matters.

She resides in Southern California and is available to mediate or arbitrate labor and employment law matters anywhere.

Before founding Saxe Arbitration & Mediation Services, Ms. Saxe practiced labor and employment law at Jones Day, Heller Ehrman, and Seyfarth Shaw for more than 30 years and was widely recognized as one of the best in the business.  She has mediated and arbitrated labor and employment law matters for many years, first as an advocate and later as a mediator, arbitrator, and Settlement Officer for the United States District Court for the Central District of California.  She is attentive to detail, a quick study, prepared, personable, approachable, articulate, creative, and flexible.  As a mediator, she has demonstrated that she is strong, good at listening and reading people, and a tenacious closer.  She has an unparalleled grasp of the legal issues and knows how a case will appear to a judge and jury.  As an arbitrator, she is fair, practical, unflappable, and not afraid to make tough decisions.

Ms. Saxe is one of the few neutrals who has litigated class actions, FLSA collective actions, and PAGA actions. During the last 5 years of her law practice, she handled complex class/collective actions and PAGA matters exclusively.  Chambers USA calls her "a talented mediator" and, when she was practicing law, called her "'an aggressive and highly capable litigator' with a forte in wage and hour and discrimination cases" and "substantial experience in the courtroom as a trial lawyer."
